When Maggie and Dan requested a woodsy engagement session, my first thought was Muir Woods National Monument. The light in this redwood forest is simply magical. We started our adventure wandering through the towering trees. Then we headed out to the coast at Muir Beach Overlook. The wild wind and sweeping coastal views made for some pretty dramatic photos.

Overall, I highly recommend this location for an engagement session if you’re looking for a woodsy location in the Bay Area. It’s not too far from San Francisco and a 10-minute drive to the coast, which make a great secondary location for sunset.
