California Inspired Destination Wedding at La Valencia Hotel

This wedding was full of California inspiration. Amanda and Nikos travelled to La Jolla’s iconic hotel aka “The Pink Lady” to get married. Their guests came to Southern California from all around the country to their destination wedding. So why not throw a party inspired by a little California Dreamin?

La Valencia is one of La Jolla’s oldest hotels. It has become a landmark with its pink exterior and Spanish-tiled tower. With views of the Pacific coast, this is a stunning wedding venue. Also it’s a short walk (or golf cart ride) to La Jolla Cove, which is where we took photos at sunset.

Every detail of Amanda and Nikos’ wedding was inspired by La Valencia and Southern California itself. The design on the invitations and place cards complemented the tiles and wallpaper found throughout hotel. The kumquats in the centerpieces evoke true Southern California vibes. The colors in the florals and cake perfectly match the hotel’s iconic pink.

La Valenica Hotel is one of the best wedding venues for a La Jolla wedding.

View of the Pacific Ocean can be found peeking out from around every corner of this hotel, which is just a short walk away from La Jolla Cove.

Ornate Spanish tiles can be found throughout the property, accenting the many pink staircases. This makes for a beautiful backdrop!

Would a La Jolla wedding be complete without photos down by the water? The hotel valet drove us down to La Jolla Cove in the golf cart just as the sun was about to set so that we could capture these gorgeous photos for the couple. It was definitely worth the trip!
